Accuracy Press Institute (API) held an official meeting with Syrian Minister of Information Dr. Hamza Al-Mustafa to discuss potential areas of cooperation in developing professional media training programs.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening national media institutions, advancing professional standards, and implementing specialized training initiatives for media professionals in the coming phase. Both sides explored opportunities for structured collaboration aimed at enhancing the skills of media cadres and supporting institutional reform within Syria’s media sector.
API representatives Zaid Mastou and Qusai Aljamous outlined the Institute’s previous training efforts, which have benefited hundreds of Syrian journalists over the past years, and presented proposals for upcoming programs to be launched from Damascus in the near future.
The Minister highlighted API’s training efforts during the years of transformation and acknowledged the Institute’s role in supporting the development of Syrian journalists throughout a critical period for the country’s media landscape. He also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to strengthen professional capacity within national media institutions.
The meeting reflects API’s ongoing engagement with public institutions as part of its broader mission to strengthen professional journalism and support the development of a sustainable and accountable media sector in Syria.
