API conducted the civic education training

In August 28-29 API conducted the civic education training which managed by the trainer Mohamad Zaid Mastou. 13 participants attended the training. This training was postponed because of the situation in Idleb.

Program evaluation manual:

In order to evaluate the program activities and outcomes, API has used different tools that can be measured.

  1. The trainees Evaluation: After Each training, every trainee was given a form of evaluation designed by Google form to evaluate the trainers, the training materials, the content and the training tools. As well as adding any comments or suggestions for the future.
  2. The trainer’s evaluation: After each training, every trainer was asked to write a report about the training with suggestions and comments. As well as recommending the best trainees to focus on in the future.
  3. Each training included assignments which the trainer can monitor the outcome of the training.
  4. API has established a page and punished the all trainees work in order to evaluate the outcome of all trainings.

Program evaluation:

Mazen Alhawish one of the trainees said he was very grateful for the trainings as it helped him to find a job.

“I would like to thank API for the trainings. During the time I was attending the trainings, API shared a job opportunity on its website. I did apply for the job and I used what I have learned in the interview. Thanks God, I started working already with Halab today TV”-Mazen Alhawish

API has trained a total of 55 Syrian journalists (13 in Syria, 27 in Gaziantep, 15 in Istanbul) in total of around 175 hours of trainings. The journalists presented of 12 deferent media outlets.

According to the trainee’s evaluation, the trainings were 82.7% between excellent, very good, and good. 15.5% accepted. 8.6% bad as follows.

Bad: 8.6%

Accepted: 15.5%

Good: 22.4%

Very good: 44.8%

Excellent:15.5%
